Glasgow Life - Welcome Back To The City

As the dark cloud of covid seemed like it was beginning to pass, I was commissioned by Glasgow Life to shoot a series of images showcasing Glasgow, with a view to entice people back to the city centre after so much time spent at home.

We worked with a series of couples to show what a day out in the city could look like in a covid conscious world.

Highlights were the open spaces on offer in the city, the precautions taken by Glasgow Life properties like Kelvingrove museum, various shops in the city, city walking tours and of course, the city bikes.

When we shot this, the world was still operating quietly, and mostly from home. It was strange being in such quiet spaces usually packed with people. Enjoying the run of an otherwise empty Kelvingrove was pretty special. I definitely felt a bit like a kid wanting to run and round and find all the excitement it has to offer.

Thanks to Glasgow Life for the excellent commission, to Forest of Black for their support in production and particularly Josefin Bagge Aldman and Michael Sherrington.
