Trad Music Awards Winner
I was stunned when I got the email, telling me I was nominated. There wasn’t a part of me that was expecting a nomination. Fast forward to early December. I sadly couldn’t make the awards ceremony, but suddenly my phone starts going mad. Friends at the ceremony telling me I’d won. It seemed a bit impossible, especially given the calibre of the others that were nominated.
There was no grand plan to photograph trad music, but I loved the challenge of taking this new wave of incredible talents and doing something different, outside the traditional walls of trad music photography. I’ve been luck enough to have had some of the very best doing it today in front of my camera and I’m so grateful to them all that they came to me in the first place and keep coming back. Forever grateful.
And to the absolute gem that nominated me in the first place, thank you, thank you, thank you!
