The West Highland Way

At the start of June, some friends and I set off on the West Highland Way, a 96 mile walk from Milngavie in Glasgow to Fort William. I was expecting it to be pretty tough, but it really was 5 days of abject misery, interspersed with some breathtaking scenery.

Taking advice, I limited my camera supplies to an old Olympus OM2, a 50mm lens and 1 roll of film. I'm pretty glad I did limit it as I was throwing away clothes after wearing them to cut down on the weight of my pack!

If you're planning on doing the west highland way, take a midge net, painkillers and lots of plasters.
